Thanks to Mr. Bob Suvoy for helping us find a buried water line that he installed 8-10 years ago. We're still working out the "kinks" as to how we will bring water to our new garden beds. It's a challenge that this team will definitely problem solve. Thanks to all of our Team Nutrition and Green Team students who worked hard finishing up the mulching project.
We believe the Pierce Garden Classroom can play a crucial role in creating a holistic, engaging educational atmosphere for today’s youth: one that encourages hands-on experiences, healthy eating, and curiosity about the natural world. Thank you for your support and encouragement throughout this project!

Raised Garden Beds Delivered Today!
Raised Beds Delivered Pre-Cut & Pre-Drilled
Check this out! Our 4 raised beds have been processed and are READY TO GO! We love our new Pierce Garden Friends, Joe and Bill. Our students will love assembling these beds with their own hands. We had a terrific meeting with our coordination team brainstorming fencing, signage, and pergola design.

Volunteer Carpenters Visit Pierce
Raised Garden Beds
Pierce Garden had two volunteers today! Bill Drabik and Joe Marikae graciously volunteered to help us with our carpentry needs. These wonderful (retired) men have taken the wood that we purchased last month (with our SRFEE grant money); they will pre-cut and pre-drill the wood for our garden beds.
Our goal is to make assembling the beds as "student friendly" as possible. Each bed will be very easy for teams of students to assemble within a class period. One "mock" bed will be already assembled for the students to use as a reference. The SRFEE grant has provided us with 4 garden beds. We are hoping that the Whole Kids Foundation Grant will allow us to make at least 4 +/- additional beds.
